Advanced Polymer 3D Printing, Assembly & Master Finishing
From Digital Asset to Master Build
This project highlights our studio's capability to transform premium digital 3D sculpts into
flawless, highly engineering physical display pieces. Utilizing ultra-high-resolution, large-format SLA 3D printing,
the figure was materialized at a solid 1/6 scale using a specialized blend of latest Plant-Based ABS-Like V3 and 8K ABS-Like V3 resins.
To balance visual aesthetics with structural engineering, a specialized hybrid assembly framework was deployed: the head joint was meticulously blended to create a smooth, completely seamless skin transition, and the heavy shield segment was permanently glued to securely handle its intense cantilevered weight distribution. Conversely, the 2 arms, upper body, lower body, and lower legs remain completely un-fused—precision friction-slotted together via high-tolerance interlocking keys to maintain full, safe modular breakdown utility.
The Production Process
01. Keyway Engineering
Analyzing and optimizing the digital sculpt geometry. Slicing logic and structural interlocking keyways are digitally mapped to allow the arms, torso, and legs to cleanly slot together with an exact friction fit without permanent fusion.
02. High-Res SLA Printing
Executed using fine-tuned Plant-Based ABS and 8K ABS-Like V3 systems. Printing at micro-layered resolutions preserves crisp detail on the Leviathan axe, facial features, and ornate armor trim while reinforcing impact resistance.
03. Chemical Post-Curing
Isopropanol washing eliminates trace raw liquid polymers, followed by managed UV-C light saturation cycles to uniform state-cure the composite polymer matrices for maximized tensile resilience.
04. Master Painting
Surface priming followed by progressive airbrush gradients, localized ink washes, and meticulous hand-detailing. Sealed using protective matte and satin architectural lacquers.

Key Project Highlights
- Turned a high-fidelity digital character asset into a heavy, premium, fully resin-fabricated 1/6 scale figure with a dominant shelf height of ~370mm.
- 100% smooth, line-free surfaces achieved natively through liquid resin chemistry, removing traditional texture artifacting.
- Utilized next-generation ABS-Like V3 resin blends to provide superior physical durability and bendable deflection, shielding fine weapon and armor tips from brittleness.
- Engineered a highly sophisticated hybrid assembly layout: the heavy shield is permanently glued for load safety and the head joint is seamlessly blended for a flawless skin transition, while the 2 arms, upper body, lower body, and lower legs remain unfused and perfectly slot-fit.

Commission & Build FAQ
Why use Plant-Based or 8K ABS-Like V3 resins instead of standard photopolymer resins for 1/6 scale statues?
Standard photopolymer resins are structurally rigid but incredibly brittle; a sharp detail or heavy weapon edge can easily snap under minor stress. By utilizing advanced ABS-Like V3 resins, the statue retains flawless surface fidelity while gaining impact durability and a slight bendable flexibility, significantly dropping fracture risks during assembly or transit.
How do you ensure structural integrity across large multi-part resin statues without permanently fusing every joint?
The model design deploys precision-engineered geometric interlocking keys that allow major segments—including the 2 arms, upper body, lower body, and lower legs—to slot together tightly with a perfect, line-accurate friction fit. Only high-stress weight zones like the shield are permanently glued, and visual skin zones like the head are seamlessly blended, ensuring the statue remains rock-solid when fully erected but easy to modularly deconstruct.
Can I supply the digital model files for my commission?
Absolutely. We regularly process client-provided .STL or .OBJ sculpt assets, or we can assist in sourcing licensed digital models from premier community character sculptors.
