Wearable Fabrication & Ergonomic Engineering
MK85 Armor Suit Build
This work-in-progress full-scale MK85 armor project demonstrates our studio's capability in custom
ergonomic re-engineering and assembly. Originally designed for different proportions, this suit
required complex, non-uniform XYZ-axis scaling and reshaping to achieve a bespoke fit. Our build
process focuses on high-precision physical fabrication, structural integrity through advanced material
bonding, and professional-grade aesthetic finishing to bring this iconic cinematic armor to life.
The Fabrication Pipeline
01. Ergonomic Reshaping
Performing extensive non-uniform XYZ scaling and manual mesh adjustments. We re-engineered the original base proportions to ensure a personalized, wearable fit without compromising suit silhouette.
02. Physical Build & Assembly
Executing a precise assembly pipeline that prioritizes internal load-bearing support, ensuring the suit remains durable, lightweight, and balanced for the wearer.
03. Surface Conditioning
A rigorous phase of structural filling, sanding, and fine-tuning tolerances. We eliminate all build seams and uneven surfaces to prepare the armor for a high-gloss cinematic finish.
04. Master Grade Painting
Application of multi-stage metallic base coats, hand-detailed panel masking, and protective industrial-grade clear coats to achieve that signature Iron Man reflective aesthetic.
